Trafficking: ‘Doctor allegedly bought child for ₦700k, resold him for ₦2.3m’

The Anambra Dispute Childhood, Sexual and Gender-Primarily based Violence Offences Court in Awka has ordered the remand of a 72-year-frail scientific doctor, Daniel Ikebuilo, alongside two ladies folks, Ifunanya Ogbonna, 23, and Chidiogo Ogbonna, 20, over alleged child theft and illegal sale.
The three defendants pleaded no longer responsible to a five-depend payment bordering on conspiracy, child stealing, and unlawful sale of a minor.

She told the court that the offences violated Sections 495(a) and 321 of the Prison Code Legislation of Anambra Dispute (1991, as amended), to boot to Piece 31(1)(4) of the recount’s Baby Rights Legislation of 2004 and Piece 15(1) of the Violence In opposition to People Prohibition and Protection Legislation of 2017.
