Supermarket employee pleads guilty to stealing goods, cash worth N593,750

A 24-year-outdated supermarket worker, Peter Ikyawuu, on Friday pleaded responsible to stealing goods and cash valued at N593,750 from his employer.

Ikyawuu, who worked at Living Proof Grocery store, Akala, used to be charged with theft on the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Courtroom, Ibadan.

The Justice of the Peace, Mrs Adebola Adeola, remanded him in custody and adjourned the case till June 23 for review of info and subsequent sentencing.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olarotimi, suggested the courtroom that the defendant dedicated the offence between May well 2 and June 15, on the supermarket.

Olarotimi acknowledged that the defendant stole goods worth N288,750 and a cash sum of N305,000 belonging to Living Proof Grocery store.

In accordance with him, the total label of the objects stolen used to be N593,750.

He acknowledged the offence contravened Fragment 390(9) of the Legal Laws of Oyo Deliver, 2000.
