Eight Zamfara lawmakers who quit the APC reportedly return after meeting Tinubu

Eight members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly who resigned from the APC earlier this month have reportedly returned to the party after a meeting with President Tinubu led by Minister of State for Defence Bello Matawalle. They had earlier cited insecurity and unpaid allowances, and were said to be heading to the ADC.

The lawmakers have reportedly pledged to work for the APC in 2027.
Supporters of Matawalle are hailing the reconciliation.
