Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos, has remarried and presented his new wife to his church.

What happened

During Sunday service on 1 November 2026, Odukoya introduced his wife, who will be known as Pastor Mo Odukoya, to the congregation. Days earlier, he had sparked engagement rumours by sharing a photo of two hands wearing rings, captioned as a new beginning. According to Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church, the wedding took place in the United States and he blessed the marriage. Bakare said the bride is the daughter of Reverend Theophilus and Bolaji Daniel.

What the pastor said

Odukoya reportedly told the congregation that he had remained single since taking over the leadership of the church and felt called to remarry, referring to the biblical teaching that it is not good for a man to be alone.

Background

Jimmy Odukoya, an actor and pastor, took over as senior pastor of Fountain of Life Church after the death of his father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, in 2023. He played the lead role in the 2023 film 'Orisa'. He was previously married to Kemi Odukoya, with whom he has children.

How people reacted

Many church members and fans congratulated the couple and shared videos from the service. Others used the moment to debate remarriage and divorce in the church, with some asking questions about his previous marriage. Odukoya has not publicly commented on those questions.

What she said

In an interview with CNN journalist Larry Madowo, reported on Saturday, 31 October 2026, Funke Akindele reportedly named 'Everybody Loves Jenifa' as the most expensive film she has produced. She said the costs came from flying the entire cast and crew to Ghana, filming some scenes at a high-end resort, and building sets back in Nigeria. She explained that she prefers to build her own sets rather than shoot in other people's homes. She did not give a figure for the budget.

Box office success

VeryDarkMan brings out cash counting machine after claiming record ₦90 million sales in one day

VeryDarkMan has brought out a cash counting machine to count money reportedly received from sales of his RATEL products, after saying the business made ₦90 million in a single day. He has also promised to make his bank statement public to clear any doubts.

Social media activist and businessman VeryDarkMan (VDM) has once again got people talking, this time after bringing out a cash counting machine to count money reportedly received from the sale of his RATEL products.

Photos show him and a colleague surrounded by bundles of naira notes, with an open suitcase full of cash, stacks of money on cartons of RATEL power stations and a counting machine beside them.

A record day

According to VDM, the business recorded about ₦90 million in sales in one day, the biggest single-day figure since the products were launched.

Ready to show proof

VDM knows how Nigerians think. Once you mention ₦90 million in one day, some people will immediately start asking questions, while others will simply refuse to believe it.

To clear the doubts, he has promised to go a step further and make his bank account statement public so people can see the transactions for themselves. He appeared confident about the figures and made it clear he was ready to back up his claims with evidence.

A fast-growing brand

What makes this development interesting is how quickly the RATEL business appears to be gaining attention. From importing products from China to demonstrating how they perform in public, VDM has continued to attract customers and supporters.

However, the ₦90 million figure has yet to be independently verified, and sales revenue should not be confused with profit.

Over to you

If VDM can truly generate ₦90 million in sales in a single day, imagine what this business could become in the next few years.

What do you think about the speed at which VeryDarkMan is growing the RATEL brand?
