Court reportedly orders El-Rufai to enter his defence in the phone-tapping trial

A Federal High Court in Abuja has reportedly rejected former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai's no-case submission, meaning he must now present a defence. The DSS is prosecuting him on a five-count charge over alleged unlawful interception of communications.
- The ruling followed arguments from both sides on whether the prosecution had made out a prima facie case.
- El-Rufai remains in custody after an earlier bail variation request was refused.
