Dangote Cement reportedly lines up a $1bn London share sale as the boss visits the stock exchange

Dangote Cement is reportedly preparing to sell about 10 per cent of the company to investors in London, a deal that could raise around $1 billion as early as November. The sale is said to involve existing shareholders rather than new shares, with Goldman Sachs and UBS reportedly arranging it. Aliko Dangote was reported to have visited the London Stock Exchange as investor meetings were expected to begin from 27 October.
- Investor sessions are reportedly planned for London, South Africa and Dubai.
- The timing is said to depend on market conditions.
