Lagos distributes sports equipment to 1,664 public schools

The Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF), the previous day, dispensed sports equipment to 1,664 public colleges across the reveal. The gesture, per LSSTF, is a yearly effort aimed at boosting sports trend at the grassroots.
The match, which held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium in Alausa, Ikeja, saw the colleges getting table tennis boards, running vests and pants, spike sneakers, footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, chess sets with clocks, scrabble boards with dictionaries, draught boards, tennis rackets, and fully stocked first wait on kits.
These objects were handed over to the Tutor-Generals/Permanent Secretaries representing the six academic districts in Lagos. The beneficiaries of the initiative incorporated 1,020 most fundamental and 644 secondary colleges from the six academic districts and 20 Local Council Training Authorities.
Speaking at the match, Lagos State Head of Service, Bode Agoro, described the initiative as a landmark success in Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration’s efforts to pork up sports trend and excellence in colleges.
“Within the last six years, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to bettering college infrastructure, which no longer directly enhances the teaching and studying ambiance in our public colleges,” Agoro said.
He emphasised the severe purpose of sports in the holistic trend of childhood, noting that sports foster bodily effectively-being and instill a really grand existence skills a lot like teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Land Bureau, Kamar Olowosago, Agoro reiterated the administration’s dedication to creating an enabling ambiance for skill discovery and trend.
