Soludo says backing Tinubu in 2027 could pave the way for an Igbo presidency
Anambra governor Charles Soludo has argued that South-East support for President Tinubu's second term could open the door to an Igbo president later. He has said his party, APGA, will not field a presidential candidate. Supporters of other candidates, including Peter Obi, have not accepted that argument.
- Soludo has urged Igbo voters not to call votes for other candidates wasted.
- The stance has drawn mixed reactions in the South-East.
